Temple Lights

Tonight Wesley's grandpa sang at the Temple again this year. Grandma was also schedule to sing with her singing group but they got rained out this weekend. Each year we love to go and see him and his group sing (FOG- four old guys). They have been singing for as long as I can remember. They started singing at girls camp (that's how they got their name). When I took out my camera to take pictures the battery was dead so all I have is video but I think that is better so you can hear them too. Wes had a blast dancing and screaming for grandpa. We also had fun walking around the beautiful temple grounds. Even with all the people it is still a peaceful place.

Thanksgiving Weekend

We had so much fun this last weekend. It is always nice to have a break. We loved having thanksgiving with the mackey side this year. Check out all the fun stuff we did.

Our First Family Turkey

I have become one of those crazy coupon shoppers. I was able to get everything in this picture (including the dishes) all for $5.00. So I decided that I couldn't pass up this deal and had to learn to cook a turkey. So now we have tons of turkey in our freezer.

The Funnest Day Ever

Today unexpectedly both Orrin and I had the day off of work so we decided to take advantage of it and go out and have some family fun. We first decide to go to one of our favorite places Usery Pass. We did all our favorite things...
1. played on the playground

2.had a picnic

There are my crazy boys posing for the camera. Lately Wes has been very annoyed with me taking pictures all the time and will now just turn away. So I will take any pose I can get from him.

3.and hiked our favorite mountain (really it's just a hill).

Wes did great he wanted to hike all by himself and got pretty far until he fell on a rock then wanted Daddy to carry him the rest of the way.

That night we decided to use our free passes to Fiddlesticks and go goofy golfing. Wesley had a blast throwing the ball into the holes and into the water. Orrin had to go fishing for it a few times. There also was a guy there that let us ride some rides for free. Don't let the picture fool you he later had fun on the rides. But my favorite part of the night was when Wes got his arm stuck in a whole on one of the picnic benches. It was really stuck but he thought it was the funniest thing.

Halloween Night

On Halloween Night we went trick-or-treating with the Adams side of the family. Wesley caught on to the whole idea really quick. He loved seeing all the dogs that people had out with them and had to pet each one. He definitely got sick of me taking tons of pictures and would just turn away so it was really hard to get a good picture of his costume. Orrin said that I was a little crazy with the camera so I guess I don't blame him. Here are some of the best.

Carving Pumpkins

We decided to carve a pumpkin this year with Wesley. I thought he would totally be into it and getting dirty but the whole time he just kept saying ewoo. We even got a picture of him saying it.
But he did have fun watching daddy carve the pumpkin with all his tools. We wouldn't let Wes have a knife so he got to hold some pliers.

Mother Nature's Farm

Before Orrin left on his week long trip back east, we went to Mother Nature's Farm in Gilbert. Wesley had so much fun running all over the place from one thing to the next. I think that Wesley's favorite was the animals (sheep, pigs, goats, and a cow. He kept coming back to the animals after every other activity we did. We spent 2 hours there just running after Wes. It was a blast. When it was time for him to pick out a pumpkin he just wanted to pick them up and throw them. A pumpkin is just really heavy ball, right? We also got to decorate the pumpkin and go on a hay ride. Check out out pictures from the farm. My favorite is the picture of the cow and the pig.
