Bradley was born on Sunday November 9th 2008 at 10:02 am. He arrived 13 days early just like his older brother Wesley, to the day. He came very fast, we almost had to deliver without an epidural. He weighed 7lbs 14oz and 20 inches long. We had to stay in the hospital an extra day and came home on Wednesday. He had a temperature and they wanted him to stay and be monitored and tested for infection. The fever went down in a few hours but they still wanted us to stay for a few tests to come back. I was discharged on Tuesday so Bradley was transferred to the pediatric unit and they were able to let me and Orrin stay with him. I really didn't want to go home without him! The pediatric unit was brand new so it was an even nicer room than we had been in. It even had a play room that Wes loved playing in and Bradley got a teddy bear and a beautiful crocheted blanket out of the stay. He is a very healthy boy and has gained lots of weight so far. Wesley is a very proud big brother. He is always wanting to hold him or hold his hand. He also has to make sure he knows where Brad is if he sees that I am not holding him. Wes was able to stay at our friends home, the Monahans. He loves going over there. They have helped us so many times with getting us settled out here. They are great. My mom was also able to make it out here. I love her so much and don't want her to go home--ever. It has been so fun this last week even though we haven't got much sleep, are feeding him continuously, and changing diapers all day, we have so much joy and love in our home. We are so happy to have Brad in our family!

Preparing for the Baby & Finding another Orrin Lee
So this weekend we decided that it was time to get out all the new born baby stuff and set it up. It was a lot more work then I thought. It really wore me out my feet swelled up like elephant feet. After we set up everything that we had, we took a trip to Babies R Us and got a new car seat (Wesley's old one broke) and then also stopped by Target to get some other little things. While we were checking out Orrin noticed that the checkers name was also Oren. Can you believe that is the first time in Orrin's whole life that he has ever MET someone with the same name. Which is not the case for me there are tons of people with the name Christi (Kristi,Kristy,Christie,I can go on forever:) After talking with him we found out that his middle name was also Lee. How weird is that! So there is more than one Orrin Lee out there in the world and we had to go to Oregon to find him.
Halloween Night
On Halloween Night we meet up with some friends and had dinner (yummy chili and broom stick bread sticks that were so cute) and then went trick or treating. We were a little worried that is was going to rain on us because it had been raining all day but the weather was perfect. The kids had so much fun running up to each door and ringing and banging on the door until someone came. It was so cute watching how excited they got. Each time we went to the door I tried to remind Wes to just take one and then say thank you but any time he was able to pick the candy out he would grab a hand full and if he has handed the candy he would just wait at the door until the gave him another one. After a while I just gave up. He got so much candy!! It was a really nice night.
Carving Pumpkins
Orrin had a really busy week at school the week before Halloween but we were able to find time the day before to carve pumpkins together. Wes did much better than last year and got his hands dirty digging out the pumpkin guts. We let Wes pick out the face and Orrin did a great job making just what Wes wanted. I think both Wes and Orrin's favorite part of the night is when we lit them up. Wes had to turn off all the lights in the house and we had them off for about a 1/2hour just looking at the pumpkins.
