So I called this the trip of 2009 hoping that my family will come every year. We had so much fun so now i am campaigning for the 2010 trip. Wesley was so excited to see Emily, Blake, and Grandma and Grandpa Adams. I don't think he really believed that they were coming until they showed up at the door and he got so excited. Bradley was a little nervous at first, crying for the first 15 minutes but then warmed up to all of them. We loved having them around but they were a little unlucky to come here to Portland when we where having breaking record heats (107F) and they lasted the whole time they were here. Which for all the Arizonians out there is nothing and a cooler day for the summer, but here in Portland where most places don't have air conditioning, it was really hot! We did end up buying a window air conditioner and my Dad set up all the fans we had to make the air flow best, which helped a little. We noticed that later in the week stores were selling out of fans and air conditioners. Glad we got ours when we did! The first day we decided because it was going to be one of the cooler days of the week (still really hot) we would go pick some berries so that we could eat them all week. We headed out to Sauvie Island Farms and picked 13 pounds of berries!!! They were gone in a few days though.
Then for the rest of the week to escape the heat we went to Tillamook Factory to eat ice cream (brad's 1st taste of ice cream) and Hug Beach....
(last week at the coast they found a great white shark so my first thought is my brother and sister could have been eaten-- they went way out into the freezing water)
We went to see the movie "UP!", swimming at our apartment pool, and played card games.Wesley was so excited to have Uncle Blake to climb trees and build trains and legos with him.

Also went to multnoma falls and played in the river.
We went shopping for school clothes (does it count even if i have been out of school for 5 years?) and to check out my favorite grocery store WinCo. It was hard to get Dad out of WinCo once we got there. We went 2 times while they were here.
(shopping for sunglasses)
On Saturday Orrin was finally able to join us in our adventures so we took a trip to Mt. Hood ( a place we had not been to yet). We first drove up to Timberline lodge. It was built in 1937 during the great depression and was built to create work for unemployed workers. Everything was made by hand including all the furniture inside. It was very cool looking even without snow around. Many movies have also filmed there. At the top of the Mt. there was still a little snow and a ski lift was still taking people up the Mt. to ski down. Then we went to skibowl resort to ride the alpine slides and play at the adventure park.
