A Boys Fishing Trip

Lately Wesley has loved hearing "fishing stories" from Orrin as bed time stories. Most of them are just made up stories about a boy named Wesley who went fishing. He has even started tell us some of his own. So when Orrin had the opportunity to go fishing with a friend from school he new that Wesley would love it. I think they both loved it. They had planned on going for a few hours and were gone all day. It was a beautiful and sunny day which are few and far between here at this time of year. Perfect day for fishing.

Wes woke me up sunday morning....

So I was laying in bed trying to get just a few more minutes of sleep before I had to get up to get the kids ready for church. My wonderful husband us up and fixing breakfast for the kids. Wesley came in my room and said "Mom I found a frog." I said, still with my eyes closed ,"oh that toy one you got from the Dr.'s office, did you find it in your room?". "No mom! Its a real one." and he pushes it closer to me. I opened my eyes for the first time that morning to see a real live frog in my face. Then Wes, with me following, runs out to the kitchen were I get the rest of the story from Orrin. I guess while he was cooking he saw the frog hoping along the floor from our little entery way. For the last few months we have heard the sound of what sounds like millions of frogs each night. Which we have gotten used to hearing and even forget that they are there. Check out my post Here that I posted about it last year and you can hear them. We have gone hunting for the frogs and never could find any and even joked about it being a recording that someone turns on each night. Some how one found its way into our house and the boys loved it. It grossed me out a little but I have to say its better that having mice.

My last year in my 20's

Ok, so I have to say that this is the first year that I was a little not ok getting older. I turned 29 and I can't believe that I am getting that old! I guess I am going to have to live it up this year so I can blame it on my 20's. I had a really nice day and had a really nice cake, a cold stone creamery cake!Yummy!

Munch With Men

A few weeks ago Wes had "the best day ever!" Orrin got to go to preschool with him and attend the Munch with Men breakfast and then play with him in his classroom. We didn't think that Orrin would be able to leave classes that day, so we had planned on not having him come, but all the stars aligned (with lots of arranging by Orrin) and it turned into "the best day ever" for Wesley. At least that is what he kept saying over and over that whole day. I am so lucky to have such a wonderful Daddy for my boys. They adore and love their Dad.
