It's a BOY!!

So we found out this weekend that Wesley is going to have a little brother. He is very excited! He is already pointing out (all the time) that he is big and the baby is small. I am sure that will continue to happen even while they are going up.

Memorial Day

This memorial day we got to hang out with lots of family. It was nice just to take a break and hang out with the people you love.

Wesley's Airplane Ride

A few weeks ago my whole family (except for Tyler who has joined the army) went to Utah for my cousin's wedding. It was so fun to have a few days to spend with all of them. I am going to miss them so much. It was so cold and it even snow the first day we were there. We stayed with my Grandma and Grandpa Barker who I love to death and got to see a lot of my mom's side of the family which are always fun to hang out with. We also got to visit Orrin's sisters Mandy and Stacy and her kids. We had Sunday dinner with them and Wes got to play with his cousins. It was nice to spend sometime with them too. But for Wes, the best part of the trip was the coming and going. We all got to fly on an airplane! He loved the whole thing. As soon as we got in the plane he started saying UP,UP,UP and as soon as we landed he said UP,UP,UP! He slept most of the way because our flight was really early in the morning we had to wake up at 4:00 am both times to leave to the airport (cheap tickets that way). I didn't get many pictures of the trip but I got a video of what we did after the wedding in all our nice clothes. Even though it was just a weekend trip it was so much fun.

Spring Break 2008

We had so much fun this spring break. We went with my family to California and stayed a few days at my Uncles house (played games, watched basketball games, hung out). It was fun to see their family again. They have this 7 foot board that they mark on to show the height of family members and friends. That side of the family has really tall people. I had forgotten that we where there the same time last year and had put Wesley's height on there so it was fun to mark it again and see how much he had grown. We then drove to San Diego and went to Lego Land. Wesley loved it there. He already loved to play Lego's with his Uncle Blake but after going to Lego land he is obsessed. There we lots of rides that he was able to ride on and he loved it. The next day we went to Sea World. He loved watching Shamu and asked for more after the show. He also love a 4D show they had that was a Sesame Street movie. It was fun watching him try to grab the cookie that came flying by. We did so much in a few days but Wesley did so good. It was a blast!

*How did you meet your spouse?
We meet at an MCC institute activity. We both almost didn’t end up getting there. He and his friends had car problems on the freeway so they had to go all the way back to Phoenix to get another car and come back. I told my friends I didn’t want to go and that we should go and do something else but I got out voted.
*Where did you go on your first date?
We went to Peter Piper Pizza and then to a friend’s house to watch a movie. Orrin made a tropical drink for us and chopped up some of the spoon in the blender so it had some little black plastic pieces in it. I still ate it.
*How long have you been together?
Going on 4 years of marriage.

Orrin, a lot more!

We are both not very good. He likes to sing more than I do.

I think that Orrin is a lot more book smart than me, but I have to say that I am always right.

We both do. If I haven’t done it yet he will do it. He is great.

I do them more at our house but he is really good at doing them when we are at my parents.
*Who sleeps on the right side of the bed?
Orrin. I am really picky which side I sleep on and it’s not always the same if we are in another place. I just get a vibe on which side I want.

I do

Orrin likes to keep our porch looking nice so I think that when we get a yard he would do the same.
*Who cooks dinner?
We both do – I plan the meal and make sure that we have everything but he makes it on days that I work because he gets home first. I love that he does that for me.

Orrin- I think I have driven maybe 5 times since we have been married- I like it that way.

I totally am. I like to just say sorry and get it over.

We live so close to mine and go there everyday- grandma watches Wes a few hours a day.

wesley's 2 year old pictures

We got wesley's 2 year old pictures done- kind of late. He did the best he had ever done (no tears). He even said "fun" when we were all done.

Our Funny Boy

So one morning I woke up to Wesley saying "mom" and when I looked up he gave me this face. I have no idea where he came up with it except maybe my brother who teaches him everything little boys think are funny. But now he walks around the house doing that face and asking others to join in. The other day I came home from work and Orrin showed me this picture. He said that Wesley just kept saying "daddy stuck". It is so fun to have him around to be able to see life through his eyes. We love him.
